Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of vegetable shortening (Crisco)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl ad mix.
- Add eggs to a separate bowl and mix.
- Add the sugars and vanilla to the eggs and blend until creamy.
- Add vegetable shortening and blend well.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto an ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheet and remove.
- Yields approximately 5 dozen cookies.
